Day 160: It Looks Like The Real Night

I am blogging late and slightly under the weather due to an evening wedding with welcome cocktails and an early morning start—thank goodness for Sunday Social's pre-formed writing topics, once again!!

Q: How did you come up with your blog name?
A: Every year I made a new blog for the year's new project. It was overwhelming. So I wanted to start a blog that would be 'the one' for the rest of time. I decided to use a foreign language version of 'forever' or 'always' as the title and started looking at the options: toujours, siempre, am byth, mai mai. In German it is für ewig. Fur Earwig! sounded better and seemed like something silly sensible enough to take me through the rest of my blogging life. It doesn't hurt that it comes up as the first option when you google that phrase—who'd'a thunk?

Q: What is you favourite thing about blogging?
A: I like that it makes me write and think about writing everyday. Because un-motivated I am liable to spend all day, everyday, under the doona with a large pile of books instead.

Q: What is one thing you have discovered because of blogging and now can't live without?
A: Probably my smart phone. I got it for easy photo-to-blog transitioning, but now it's like a mini-iPad and a little too handy for my liking. Don't like being in love with electronic things because they inevitably disappoint you by getting buggy.

Q: Facebook or Twitter? And why?
A: If those are the only options in the whole wide world, then I will probably go Twitter. It is much more time efficient. Possibly because I don't really understand it and am not actively pursuing an understanding.

Q: If one celeb read your blog who would you want it to be?
A: Can I choose a fictional celeb? I would go Carrie Bradshaw. I would be honoured if she took the time to read what I had to say. I would be more honoured if she had some nice comments about my outfits. And we could talk shoes.

Q: What is something you want people to know about your blog?
A: It is not really about fashion.
