Wear 104: Taster Plate

A Sunday Summary:

Planning: To do the Stadium Stomp. Well, doing a lot of talking and a little actual planning. Getting a team, tentatively, together to climb the 7343 steps up and down all the stairs in tiers one and four of the MCG (Melbourne's Mecca for All Things Cricket and Ozzie Rules Football for those unaware of our icon). Training: no tick; application form: no tick; Hype, Hyperbole, Verbosity: tick. 'Two outa three ain't bad'. Oh wait, that is two no's. Two outa three is bad.

Eating for lunch: Little 'Masterchef' style vignettes of flavor. Slice of tomato, couple of layers of baby spinach leaf, mint leaf, slice of boccocini, sardine, squeeze of lime. Times five. Lunch.

Watching: Elementary, The Following, Lilyhammer (have you seen this weird placement of a mafia-man-turned-informant in small town Norway, it is actually funny and fabulous), [hestitate to admit] American Idol.

Travel Desires fueled by imagery I saw this week(ish): Old theme parks on the outskirts of Barcelona (not sure if it exists); Scotland and her Highlands; Morocco; Op-shopping/thrift shopping in the States (always, but especially just before prom or halloween).

Reading: DH Lawrence's Aaron's Rod; Nelson DeMille's Up Country; Kathy Reichs' Bones are Forever; Jo Nesbo's The Bat; Mon's Kallencroft's Midwinter Sacrifice; Fitzgerald's This Side of Paradise; Murakami's 1Q84: Books 1 and 2; Cervantes' Don Quixote; Antigone in French (very slow, very wanky); book 3 of the Hunger Games trilogy; book one of the Millennium series (again) and nine others (my currently reading pile is a tad out of control at the moment).

Wishing: For more knitting time; for more reading time; for my internet usage to decelerate; for snow; for North Korea to pull its head in; for sports news to be allocated to a channel where you have to subscribe to see it (it can be free, just not free to air); for a resolution to our EBA and the teachers'; for Lolli to suddenly not be afraid of the wind anymore; for more vitamin D.

  1. Great to see List Addict back making lists.

Have you read The Pillow Book? It's written by a Japanese lady-in-waiting centuries ago and is full of lists.

I will hesitantly add that I will be in your Stadium Stomp team is you need another person

  2. Love the pants! You look grouse today.

Does the heart still flutter for the Bacon?

    Thinking about stomp.

    Mushy stuff. Dxx
